The reason I like this quote is because I think that the following quote, also by Einstein, is very true.
"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."
So for all those people who think we shouldn't be teaching anything in school except subjects that have "practical" applications, Einstein said it best. We must cultivate imagination and creativity in our children and I know of no better way to do that than to get them involved in the arts.

If you allow yourself to be spoon fed, then all you will learn is the shape of the spoon.
This is espaecially true for education, and believing what you hear. If teachers spoon feed thier students, then the students aren't learning independent thinking, they are learning to recite someone's opinion.
