Ok, before I pose this. A few rules PLEASE.
If you're a blind faith believer and will NOT open your mind to ANY other possibilities, PLEASE, don't answer. This is a serious question. No Flames and No, "I believe because I know in my heart...blah blah blah.

Is it NOT possible that Jesus was not just an amazing magician and doctor of his time? We know he performed "Miracles" and "healed" people.

I mean, let's be honest, I'm BLOWN away by David Blaine these days. Imagine if David Blaine was around back then or anyone with that talent, they could've claimed to be the Son of God if they wanted to.
Once you get their attention, that's all it takes...and both David and Jesus were apparently good at getting attention.

Again, just open your mind. Even if you refuse to consider it, consider this. What if no one EVER believed? Though there would still be wars, would they be as bloody? Would COUNLTESS people have died for something that NO ONE can prove is true?

And if you consider just for ONE moment that I could be right.

Wouldn't that make those of the jewish faith right?

FYI, I am not a member of ANY religion. I just think about religion a lot. So don't hop on here and start sayin' I'm dogging one to support another, I'm NOT..I'm just asking.

Geez...
How did I know that christians just couldn't leave this alone. I appreciate those of you who tried to answer with some clarity, but to those who answered just to talk about how great god it, there's other threads for that.

BlondieBaptist:
You're the reason I asked those like you not to answer. Your blind faith. It's silly. If you won't "take the time to consider my ramblings", then why would I EVER take the time to listen/believe in/to your fairytales? I'm sorry to see that it saddens you that I'm going to hell for not believing in your God. I believe it saddens me more that you would believe in a man that condemns someone to an eternity of torture for not believing in them. Doesn't sound like love to me at all!
Oh, and btw...I'm not a christian and I know better than you. You said," I hope somone comes..." Christians don't HOPE, they pray.

Very good point..and it is quite silly, I won't believe in something just because a book says so (a book revised by hundreds of men in power to suit their needs and contains many contradictions btw) I wont believe anything truly until there is some proof.

...Sir, you said this: Is it NOT possible that Jesus was not just an amazing magician and doctor of his time? We know he performed "Miracles" and "healed" people.

...Answer:

...Too bad He doesn't give you that choice. Jesus of Nazareth, was a real, historical person, witnessed by the Scriptures, secular historians of His day, and millions of changed lives. He made some incredible claims - He claimed to be God, and the only way to God.
...Forget this nonsense about Him being "an amazing magician and doctor of his time?" He does not give you that choice. He is either the Lord as He said, or else a liar, a lunatic, or a legend. He leaves us no wiggle room on this. He claimed to be God - what say you?
...And if He is right (and I certainly believe that He is), your decision has eternal significance.
...I urge you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved. (Acts 16:31)
...Whosoever will, may come.

If David Blaine had been back then.....no difference. Blaine is a Magician..he is not performing Miracles. Curing Lepers, bringing Sight back to the Blind is not Magic for Heaven'sake.

Actually from what I understand, Jesus never claimed to be the son of God, according to scripture. Of course, he never denied it either. That title was given to him by those who followed him, and the idea gained great popularity after his death. Most likely, Jesus was just another man who worked through the power of God ... as many others in the Old Testament had done before him.

Well I can't entertain this thought because even the Jewish leaders came to him constantly and never disproved any works of his at all but attacked his words but Jesus won there also. In the end it was both his words and deeds and Jesus not renouncing the fact he and God were one and the same that got him crucified.

You're wrong. I won't take time to consider your ramblings, as the Bible backs me up. Why don't you open your heart to Jesus? it saddens me that you are going to go to Hell for rejecting the greatest man who ever lived, who died for us, all because you are too stubborn and blind to see the truth. I hope someone comes across your path today and shows you the plan of salvation before its too late.

Edit: I'd like to play with you, but isn't your mommy calling you home for dinner? Besides, I'm on my way to church. God Bless.

OK buddy but please live by your own rules. Are you open to the fact that Jesus was divine.

Anyway, All of that was just show who Jesus was was not defined by what He did. What He did represented who He was.

The only proof a person will ever have to the divinity of Jesus is personal relationship and interaction with Him. Everything else is just a road sign as to where to start looking inorder to meet Him.

Maybe you are right. It is I quite possible. The message Jesus brought is what's important though. Peace, love, understanding, patience. That is the most miraculous thing he did. If people followed this, there would be no wars.

Only problem with that is most of these miracles were done by Pagan gods or sons of gods long before Christ. That is how gods were "made" back then.

That is the very reason that belief in Jesus Christ is based on FAITH, not necessarily fact.
I believe Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God, but it's through faith.
