The blogbaba has always felt Floyd's speed will give Oscar touble, and although DeLa Hoya shoud have an edge in power, I don't think Oscar will be able to adjust to Floyd's quickness. I have said from the beginning Oscar has a punchers chance, but I pick Floyd to win by decision if Oscar doesn't land of big shot early.

the thing about De la Hoya is that he has great endurance and can come out on top in later rounds.
yea Floyd is very good but De la hoya is the champion dont forget, yes he may be overated but he is still the champion. Floyd is very explosive but De la Hoya is very solid and i do believe that DLH can keep up with him.
post from someone else that has some accuracy to it.--
In my opinion Oscar will not only beat Floyd but, he'll stop him in the later rounds. Oscar is a converted southpaw, meaning that he was originally a left handed fighter thus explaining his devastating left hook and no so great right hand and Floyd's body is there all day for the left hook. Floyd tucks his head into his right shoulder and keeps the majority of his weight on his back foot to keep from getting hit with a solid head shot. Floyd fights exactly the same way as his uncle Roger did but he's much, much faster hand speed wise anyway. Roger fought against the great Julio Cesar Chavez and Chavez broke him down with a brutal body attack, I think Oscar will employ the same strategy against Floyd, trap him on the ropes and pound his right side particularly the short rib. Oscar is naturally the bigger stronger guy and Floyd is smaller, 9 times out of 10 the bigger guy wins. Floyd is younger, but not wiser, Oscar has adapted well over the past couple years changing up his style to suit his age Floyd mean while only fights one way granted it's worked wonderfully thus far but his luck will change when and if he and Oscar meet in the not so distant future.
Yea Floyd is alot smaller than De la hoya. And when you gain weight you loose speed and its a different body pace.
to be honest i think De la Hoya will win.

This is going to be a close bout. If you are betting alot of money on Mayweather, don't. If Mayweather falters at all because he tires out, has over trained, or any other reason he is not in there with some chump. I have Mayweather in this fight by slim decision but if DeLaHoya is getting to him in each round, late in the fight Mayweather is in trouble.

yeah mayweather moving up in weight but he's training into it it's not like eh's sitting on the couch and eating junk food and then is going to get into the ring... i highly doubt his speed will be effected... mayweather is alot stronger then people think because he pops his jab so much he doesnt really throw alot of power shots unless he's sure he'll connect and i think that jab will bruise and hurt de la hoya from round 2 or 3 on and mayweather will win the fight by decision

first mayweather is fast and strong but you gotta remember he's moving up in weight and that will effect his speed and power.and he doesn't have the power to knockout de lahoya.DELAHOYA is not overrated cuz he has fought the best in his carreer.mayweather in other hand is overrated honestly he got an *** whooping by castillo the first fight,so sorry to say this but MAYWEATHER WILL NO LONGER BE UNDEFEATED COME MAY 5TH.

Yes i do, Floyd id too fast and in shape for Dela Hoya who is just looking for one more big payday. Dela Hoya has not trained or fought in months. Singing and partying does not get it done against Floyd.

I pretty much think the same way. The fight itself is overrated once De la Hoya starts feeling the punches he'll drop like he did with Hopkins & there the fight is over.
