im 15, and i have half of my small intestines, and i have had only half for 10 years, i am a stick and it takes me a year to gain even a few pounds, im currently 120 pounds with no fat and little muscle, all throughout my life after my surgery i have been made fun of, 6th grade seemed to be the worst period for that, if anyone does make fun of you, tell the principal, or teacher,if that doesnt work, beat them senseless, thats basically what ive had to do to alot of them

My wife, who has spina bifida, was teased quite a bit in the 6th grade. but times are slowly changing. kids are looking at eachother as other kids... not as other kids in wheel chairs. and on a side note... don't EVER let anyone tell you you can't do something simply because you're a little different. just tell them "at least I get the best seat at the movies!!" it shuts them up every time.

I don't know because when I was in 6th there were no physically challenged kids. But I don't think that they would. If anything I would be worried about people feeling sorry for you. One of my best friends is in a wheel chair because she has muscular dystrophy, when your muscles are really weak, and she tells me that she just pities the people who waist their pity on her. I wish you the best of luck!!!

Of course there will be the popular jerks that make fun of you because they think that's cool. Then there will be people who pity you and that's just as bad. Though, most people are good and will know your problem and be humane about it. Don't sweat sixth, it goes by fast.

Not really, well... not in my case, you get the same amount of teasing as you did before, maybe even less... Maybe you could explain your condition to your classmates, they might understand... If they don't, well it's only one school year...
