File recovery-
Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!

I had a program called "restoration.exe" just look it up on the internet I'm sure you will find it. It was small sized and very easy to use - no installation. Simply tries to recover file table from disk blocks (whathever that means). Th e important thing is that it recovers deleted files. IMPORTANT HURRY UP OR ELSE THE FILES WILL EVENTUALLY GET OVERWRITTEN
(anyway I just gave you a nifty way how to get your hands on files others don't want you to own ;P)

Try Recover My Files, I have used it a few times to get back files that I have deleted, it also got most of my files back when my hard drive crashed.
