i have the problem asking someone out related-please give advise.?

when i get the courage to ask someone out i think they say yes because they feel bad for me but the next day they say am a very nice girl but they only like me as a friend that makes me so angry WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
