Clearly have his blood sugar checked. Also it could be a heart problem so make sure his BP is checked and his doctor will direct you to further testing.

My mom has high blood sugar and has been complaining of cold feet and tingling.

Have him looked after just to be on the safe side.

I would make sure that he has a complete physical with blood work. Neuropathy (nerve pain), especially in the feet can be a sign of diabetes (or other problems). Also he may just have a topical infection such as athletes foot but I would not bet on this because it seems to cause severe pain.

if your fathers feet are also red as well as a burning it could simply be that he as a form of dermatitis if the skin is red patches and itchy it could be athletes foot he could also have an allergy to the type of shoes hes wearing , whatever the cause he needs to see a doc to confirm the problem in order to receive the proper treatment , make an appointment the sooner the better . good luck

He had what sounds like a peripheral neuropathy.
Look for B12 deficiency, diabetes, swollen legs. How is the circulation to hhis legs does he smoke?
There are a look of medication to use at nights such as gabapentin, tylenol and codeine for relief and helping with sleep

Does your father have diabetes? I dont and still have this problem. I was diagnosed with neuropathy and take neurotin. Have him go to his dr there is help.

Yes, he could have diabetes, or he could also have Morton's Neuroma OR even a realllly bad case of athletes foot!
