The average person will say a huge splash, but there is far more involved here than meets the eye. The elephant is going to be filthy, riddled with dirt, grime, and bacteria. That bacteria will enter the pond and in a matter of days all of the fish in that pond will be dead. The dead fish will begin to decompose and be eaten by birds, foxes, wolves, and/or coyotes. These animals will get horrible stomach aches and a few may not survive the illness. Shall I continue? I think not as you get the point.

I don't think elephants can jump. They can fall in though but it would be rare because elephants do not like to venture to places where their tunks cannot reach.
