does anyone out there reeally get bent out of shape, distressed, distraught?

have a sudden bowel movement, break down and cry, have a cow, get p***** off contemplate suicide, chew on their nails, threaten 3rd world countries with nuclear annihilation,or otherwise have emotional problems JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE TYPES A QUESTION IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS? I mean really, have we become that touchy feely?

As a dork with extensive linguistics knowledge, I find it interesting that people would find that much emotion in a web page made of questions and answers.

Does all-caps really display that much emotion, and do people really have such a visceral reaction to that emotion?

Very interesting.

Personally, I find all-caps kind of a pain while reading Greek, because it's harder to read. Do you think people have any issues with reading it, leading to extra frustration? Do the symbols have some kind of subliminal significance or something?

So many questions. So little linguistic research.
