A small yard is fine with a small dog. Even no yard . If no yard you can paper train. A small dog will get all the exercise he needs in the house jumping and running around.

Just be sure to take him for walks and socialize him with other dogs and people. The small breeds are often harder to train because they think they are the boss. Get your bluff in from the start.

None at all! Take your dog for a walk every day and carry a scooper with you as a great way for BOTH of you to get out, get some exercise and meet people! I have two dogs and while we do have a nice yard, we like to walk the block and get out with them. We usually see a neighbor or two while we're out and about and even meet other dog owners which is always fun.

Not much room needed for an 8 pound dog. They will benefit from daily walks, but don't require much living space. You may just find your perfect little companion here> http://search.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi
Just put in your own zip code to find the right dog nearest you.
If you click on the dog's name, you will get more info, such as how well it is trained, etc.

it depends on that breed(s) it is, so need more space than others. most dogs don't like cement very much, they prefer grass, if your backyard is all cement, he most likely wont want to run around or play on it, it is best to keep him in the house, so he won't hurt himself on the hard cement. he would need a small, grass or turf backyard, and if not, the house is good for him to play in.

It doesn't need a big area at all, a lot of little dogs live in apartment buildings in cities. As long as you can take him for walks every day he'll be happy and exercised.

dont adopt a dog. you would be doing more harm by adopting it and making it live with u, then you would do it by not adopting it at all. at least that way a GOOD person will get the dog and the dog can be happy.

Depends on the dog and it's genetic predisposition towards exercise or lazyness. Get a dog to fit your energy levels, don't get one for just looks, otherwise you can be mismatched and unhappy with the dog, or have a dog that's unhappy with you.
