Obviously you say that in order to evolve we have to have had time ; so after the billion or so years it takes to evolve THAT DAY [ B00M! ] we`re going to magically become something new? Or should we be gradually changing now?

Why don't you actually go and read a book or two about it?

If you look at the size of the average bed from say, 200 years ago, you will notice that it is much shorter than beds are today. If you look at the average height of humans, you will notice that, at least in developed nations, people are getting taller.

This is evidence that we are gradually changing.

The notion of gradual change that seems to baffle people is that it is, in fact, gradual and that we don't [BOOM] magically become something new.

Many people are answering you gradually but I believe the most evolutionists are beginning to understand that some changes happen quite suddenly. I agree that you should read some books about it but why don't you ask this question in the science section and see what answers you get?

We gradually change over time, with an occasional "whammy" when the environment makes it necessary.

You should watch the National Geographic special on the Galapagos Islands... it's a nice presentation of the basis for the first theory of evolution...

We are. Our jaws and little toes are shrinking, we are walking more upright and we are getting taller. That is all measurable from the 1600s. Have you ever looked at a really old bed? You wouldn't fit.

We're gradually changing

3000 years ago people were on average 1.5 ft shorter. Races have become more pronounced.

Where'd you get "that day boom" from?
