peanut butter will definitely work. just take a glob of peanut butter and start working it into the hair. the gum will come out and just shampoo hair to get out the peanut butter.

some use ice to freeze it and break it off.
Others use butter or peanut butter. the oils begin to weaken the bonds of the gum making it easier to remove with a comb.
My wife uses a cleaner called "Krud Kutter"

peanut butter! get some now and put it in her hair, it will break down the sticky gum base and you can remove it with your fingers.
Good Luck!
