How rude is that? I feel so uncomfortable when men check me out with their wives/gf's right there. I know we all look, we notice, but than you look away, especially when your with your partner.
For the men who do this : Why would you do this with your partner RIGHT THERE?
Women whos men do this: Why on earth do you put up with it?

i agree 100% yes everyone looks from time to time but not when you are with your partner it is a total lack of disrespect to do this and i don't think women should put up with it at all.

Hi there! First of all, I just want to make it clear that I totally agree with you--I feel it is rude for anyone, male or female, to "check out" or flirt with another when in a committed relationship, whether or not in the presence of your partner. However, there are reasons people do it.

Some people believe that it is just the nature of guys to check out girls, so why not just let them do it? Again, I DON'T agree with this, but I know this is what other people think. Guys are either purposefully rude, or don't realize they're being rude in doing this. They believe it is their nature, so they don't have to hide it.

The girls who put up with this behavior believe the same--that they know their guys are looking, and as long as their guys don't actually "hook up" with someone else, they accept it. I'm not going to tell other people how to live, so if other girls feel this way, then they have every right to. The important thing is that any rules or boundaries regarding what is acceptable in the relationship needs to be set BEFOREHAND.

As far as being the person gawked at or flirted with, we can either ignore them or give them the most annoyed look ever. lol

I know guys that will flirt or look at other women, but I also know they mean nothing by it...are you sure the guys that do it to you are being disrespectful?

If their significant others are okay with it then it's their business...if they aren't okay with it then they should do something about that.

When it happens to you, why don't you say something? If a guy flirts with you in front of his partner, look at her and ask "does it bother you when he does that"? He's flirting to get your attention...if you give it to his partner, that kinda deflates his balloon...

I totally agree with you. Some men just have no class. And the women who know they do that are just plain stupid for putting up with it.

ADD:
Sorry, but I just can't let it go at my above comment.
My ex use to do that and I found it to be very hurtful. I always felt like wasn't good enough for him because he was always gawking.

There are many reasons that women put up with this BS.

1. The "I can change him" syndrome
2. Fear of losing her man and having to be on her own
3. Not caring, if she does it too
4. Having an open relationship

And many more

Because when both people have self-esteem, they know if they look around it doesnt matter because they are with eachother.
