Hi--:)
You're stereotyping your own race which is bad.
Indians dont always have to have long and thick hair.
They can have any type of hair they wish to have, dont feel guilty about it.
Indians are still people, each individual has their own style.
Go with what you have and if you see a Indian girl with long thick hair, just say "whatever, i like my hair and its awsome"
But if u want a change, then go to a hairstylish and tell them what you want.

I am not Indian, but I don't think that having short hair should matter, its what you want and you are happy with it. Maybe you should talk to your family or someone and see what they think about it. Good luck.

Isn't it a stereotype that you have to have long hair if you're an indian? Personally, I think you should do whatever you want.

I'd say this depends where you live. If you live in India it may have that association, however if you live here in London Ontario most people wouldn't know of the association, and thus it would be seen simply as a hairstyle.
