how can i be more BOLD and more of a "go-getter"?

im not really the shy type i guess u can say i have a HIGH fear of rejection...

I read a book once on how to be assertive. (some people think that being aggressive is being assertive) Being Bold rubs people the wrong way. You can catch more flies with honey than vinigar.Their are exercises you can do to train yourself to be assertive that this book gives you to do, they progress from simple ones to instill more confidence. Believe me their fun to do. For example when your sitting at a table with someone you think is aggressive and want to test for it your assertiveness you could push the sugar bowl to his side of the table,without telling why and watch what happens. Try flirting just for fun. learn how to overcome every day 'put downs' by someone that's always doing it to you. You can be shy and asseritive too!

Don't worry, that's a lot of people's worse fear. Rejection. I would only approach guys with my friends when we would do something, so in case they said no, I'd always have my friends to fall back on! But they never did say noo :)

omg! i am the exact same!!!!!!!!!! i think that you have to let go of the fear and just go for it. the stupider you look the less self cncious you feel. this may sound stupid but take a theater class in your school or something and that will raise your confidence... i promise! 100% confidence!
