Fewer people would kick puppies. The universe would blow the 48 mph minivan out of the passing lane. And I would probably force myself to learn a little patience.

I believe it does happen like you said- but we aren't always aware of it. IMHO, that's part of the beauty of karma (god? God? reality? pick one...) When we choose to see it, it is always there, when we choose to ignore it, it is still there but we get to do whatever we want in blissful (albeit temporary) ignorance.

The world would be a much nicer place, however fake it might be. People would be afraid of an instant reprisal for anything "bad" that they did. Therefor people would be forced to life in fear of not being good to one an other.

We would be in trouble. The world would revert back to a system of feudalism (serfs=bad people etc) and we would slowly work our way up again.
