Spaghetti is always good and really easy to make.Just buy pasta sauce, hamburger and noodles and follow the package directions. Also, crock pot cooking is easy. Just throw a roast in the crockpot with 1 cup water and some new potatoes, carrotts an a chopped small onion and you will come home to a meal, put on in the morning and slow cook all day.Stew would be the same way, stew meat, water, pottatoes and carrotts. Add peas and corn at the end of the day. I always add a couple cubes of beef boulion to the crock pot recipes. Another easy one is tacos. Just buy tortilla, hamburger, lettuce and tomatoes and cheese. Just cook the hamburger and add your favorite toppings on a warm tortilla that you put in the microwave for about 45 seconds.Add taco sauce and maybe make a side dish of spanish rice you find in the store. There are alot of great beginners cook boooks you can purchase or on the internet you can find alot of recipes for beginning cooks such as cooks.com or kraft foods. Good luck and have fun.

Chicken and Rice
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 cup milk
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix

Pour the rice in a 13x9 casserole dish. Pour the chicken broth or water over it. Lay the chicken breasts on top of the rice, sprinkle the onion soup mix over the chicken. Mix the two soups together in a bowl with the milk and pour over chicken. Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees for an hour - uncover and bake another 15 minutes. Serve with a salad and some crusty hot bread. Enjoy!

Here are two of the dishes that I think you would like. They are easy to do and take less than 30 minutes to make.
Apricot Chicken
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan
2 pounds chicken tenderloins, cut in 1/2 across on an angle
Salt and pepper
1 large onion, chopped
2 tablespoons cider or white wine vinegar
12 dried pitted apricots, chopped
2 cups chicken stock
1 cup apricot all fruit spread or apricot preserves
3 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley, for garnish
Heat a large skillet with a lid over medium high heat. Add oil and chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Lightly brown the chicken a few minutes on each side, add onions. Cook 5 minutes. Add vinegar to the pan and let it evaporate. Add apricots and stock. When stock comes to a bubble, add preserves and stir to combine. Cover pan, reduce heat and simmer 10 to 15 minutes. Serve chicken with a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
Chicken and Rice Casserole
2 tablespoons butter or vegetable oil
1 medium onion, peeled and diced
3 cups diced, cooked chicken
2 (14 1/2-ounce) cans green beans, drained and rinsed
1 (8-ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (6-ounce) box long-grain wild rice, cooked according to package directions
1 cup grated sharp Cheddar
Pinch salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Heat butter or oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add onion and saute until translucent, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl.
Add all remaining ingredients to bowl and mix together until thoroughly combined.
Pour into a greased 3-quart casserole dish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
I also know on foodtv.com there is an area that is called quick and easy. They have some great ideas on there for beginner cooks to make.

The primary approaches that the men and women can battle worldwide warming is eliminating their older mannequin autos (1979 Buick) considering the fact that, older autos emmitt extra poisonous fumes into the air. Its noticeable that the extra technological complicated a vehicle is, the fewer damaging gases it emmitts. A vehicle that used to be developed three or four years in the past might be extra economic climate pleasant than a vehicle that used to be assembled 35 years in the past. For prime populated towns corresponding to New York, Bus and Taxi companys will have to change present autos with autos which might be powered by means of hydrogen or electrical power. Just feel, if each and every important town used the Toyota Prius as taxi's, there could be a reduced degree of air pollution, and in addition taxi fares might be vastly cut down as good.

If you have a slow cooker(crockpot)...
peel and dice up a few carrots place at the bottom of the slowcooker, peel and dice up some onions, also putting in the slowcooker... put porkchops OR chicken ontop of the veggies, season with a lil salt and pepper, add a few squirts of bbq sauce OR A1 sauce, OR HP Sauce....add a cup of water...place lid on slow cooker....turn to low...and walk away for 5-6hrs. When ready to eat..make some 5min. rice on the stove and voila* Easy, homecooked, tender, juicy dinner~

There are some really great websites out there...like Kraft that you can punch in what you have on hand then pick a recipe out of that. Campbell's is another.
Chicken is probably the easiest but wash your hands repeatedly when handling raw. Red meat is hard to screw up as long as the cut is a good one.
Try these two sites...and when you feel more comfortable, move onto sites like food and wine, ect.

A nice appetizer.
Take a Pillsbury crescent roll tube dough and lay it out flat. pinch all the seams together to make a big rectangle. Place an 8oz. cream cheese block in the center. put 1 Tablespoon of dill on top and kind of press it in. seal up the rectangle however you like. take one egg white and beat it for a little while. take a brush and brush the egg white on the sealed crescent roll. bake for about 15 min at 350. check it until it turns a nice brown. serve on baguette or crackers.

Well, you can never really go wrong by grilling up a couple bonless chicken breasts. Season them, then cut into small strips. Add the strips to whatever type of pasta you like and then add whatever type of sauce you like. And depending on what sauce you use some fresh veggies are a good plus. I've done chicken fettucini tossed with alfredo sauce and steamed broccoli. Very good.
