Everyone has their own opinion. Where/When does one country say we only want so many folks from here there or anywhere? Should American/USA allow all and any person who comes from anywhere do so without concern or limits?
How many immigrans is enough and why would you say so?
Should a country take the poor of the world in until it becomes destitute and failed itself? When is enough ...enough?

Anita, while I understand your points, if the influx of illegals caused a fatal loss or degradation to the suffering country, where is the "enough" line? When does a country say that's it. No more for a while. That's the question. It's good to help others but if it ends up killing you off while you help, where does one draw the line?
Your answer kinda suggests that we should take poor people in until we drop to our knees and die. I personally can't agree with that. It kinda feels like suicide.

Enough is now. Immigration is okay, illegal immigration is not. Due to the flood of illegals our school, hospitals, cities, citizens, economy, etc. suffer. We can not take all the poor of Mexico and other latin countries. I know there are other illegals, but no where near the numbers of the two places named. If this trend continues our way of life and culture, all the great things about the US will disappear. I wish Americans of all races and backgrounds would see this.

I completely disagree. Our country was created by immigrants, and they are what made this country what it is today. Ignorance is what create answers like that of the above. This country is not poor, nor is it anywhere near that of poor. When citizens have no running water, no lights, no telephones, no vehicules,no homes, no medical care, (when you live in the mountains) then you can first begin to call yourselves poor. IT ISNT EASY TO COME TO THIS COUNTRY LEGALLY. That is why so many come here illegally. You have to own land, have several bank accounts or own your own business to try and come to the U.S legally from Mexico. How are you supposed to own those things if you can barely buy food. For Example: If you yourself were born in another country, and make $20.00 a week and groceries cost the same as what it does in the united states, how are you supposed to survive. If you have an ill child, and no money, it's not like you can walk into a hospital and get medical care with out paying for it first. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Sure you are prob. saying that's not our problem, but what if that was you. Would you stay and suffer, or would try to go make a better life somewhere else.

What happened to: Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free??

Where in that statment does it say, give me your rich? (NOWHERE)
BUT GUESS WHAT??! You cant come here from latin country's LEGALLY unless you are rich!
