If someone believes in a higher power but not the Christian God or Jesus, will they still burn forever in Hell after death?

Yes. According to the Bible which is the inerrent Word of God, The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ and accepting Him as your Lord and Savior.
Many believe in various gods (eg. Allah, Vishnu, etc.) but none will allow you into Heaven.

The answer to your question...their is no one higher than God! God is the highest it goes...Creator of Heaven and Earth! He sent his only Son Jesus to die for our sins because we did wrong and since He loved us sooo much He put HIs Son Jesus Christ on the cross to die for our sins! And when we ask Jesus to be our Savior and to save us from our wrong doings then he comes into our hearts and never ever ever leaves....and as person you will change completely! IF YOU DON'T ASK JESUS INTO YOUR HEART....that's when you will burn in Hell eternally! If God wasn't here......we would be NOTHING!

According to the bible, those who do not accept the teachings of Christ cannot obtain Everlasting Life, as described in the Book of Revelations.
Just as the teachings in other major religions of the world, this particular religious belief has guidlines on acheiving salvation which can only be understood through reading the doctrine and asking questions.

Remember in the Bible god says "I am a jealous God" You'd be better off not believing in any god, than believin in one of God's competitors.
