Garlic Bread is the future ;)

I usually just mix a little lazy garlic with some butter and spread it on baguette and stick in the oven.

that reminds me, it's Peter Kay night.

Love it so much! Very easy to make it. Just buy some par baked baguettes from the supermarket (if you can't get par baked, just get normal ones and put the oven on lower.
Cut the parbaked baguettes in the right size portions but don't cut the whole way down, leave about half inch uncust at the botton of the baguette.
Crush up some garlic (however much you want depending on how strong you want it) and some parsley (if you want it). Mix really well with some butter and then make into a sausage. Roll it up in cling film and put it in the fridge. When it is set, cut it into rounds and put into the cuts in the baguette. Again, use as much as you want, if you only rolled the butter up thin, you can use several slices.
Place baguettes on tray and bake as per instructions on packets, or until the butter is melted on cooked baguettes.

Love it Love it Love it! Best way I find is to take :

INGREDIENTS:

* 1 loaf French bread
* 1 large clove garlic, crushed
* 1/2 cup butter
* chopped fresh parsley, optional

Directions for garlic bread
Not cutting through bottom crust, cut bread into slices. Combine garlic with soft butter; spread between slices and over top of loaf then sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.

Wrap loaf in heavy-duty foil; place on grill over medium coals or in a 350° oven until heated through, about 15 minutes.
Makes 1 loaf of garlic bread slices.

Also if you want to make it really squishy and soft, I tend to coat the bread in Olive Oil before I put the Butter on, Makes the Top Crispy and the insides soft

THE BEST GARLIC BREAD EVER!!!!
Use fresh garlic grushed and mixed with butter.
You also need french bread, fresh rosemary and some mozarella. Cut the bread (not quite all the way through) lengthways. Spread the garlic butter on both sides, add mozarella and some chopped fresh rosemary. Wrap it all up in tinfoil and bung it in the oven at 200 C ish for about 20 mins. Gorgeous!

I do love it and I usually make mine to following ways

Garlic and herb bread
40g/1½oz butter, at room temperature
fresh chives, chopped
fresh parsley, chopped
fresh oregano, chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
1 tbsp lemon juice
black pepper
1 baguette, cut into 2.5cm/1in diagonal slices

Method
1. Mix the butter, chives, parsley, oregano, garlic, lemon juice and pepper.
2. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
3. Spread the butter mixture on both sides of the sliced bread and reassemble the loaf. Wrap in foil and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Open the foil for the last 5 minutes of cooking time to crisp the surface. Serve hot.

Garlic bread
1 medium sized loaf or baguette
1 bulb of smoked or ordinary garlic
salt
olive oil

Method
1. Preheat the oven to its highest temperature. Tear a piece of tin foil.
2. Crush the bulb of garlic and scatter it over the centre of the foil including skins. Season with salt, drizzle with oil and lay the bread on top. Fold the foil around the bread to form a parcel.
3. Place in the oven for 5-10 min

or Garlic pitta bread
8 pitta breads
25g/1oz butter
2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
1 chilli, seeded and finely chopped

Method
1. Make a few slits on one side of each pitta bread without cutting all the way through. Heat a ridged griddle and warm the pittas through or place them under a hot grill.
2. Meantime, melt the butter in a small pan and add the garlic and chilli, warm through making sure not to let the mixture burn.
3. Brush each warmed pitta with the infused butter

I love garlic bread.

I really think the best way is with a long loaf of bread, a ton of butter and garlic salt. I cut the loaf in half horizontally, slather both sides with softened butter, sprinkle liberally with garlic salt and either broil or put the two pieces back together, wrap in foil and bake until hot and fragrant.

Yes I do!

GARLIC FRENCH BREAD
Makes 2 oblong or 1 large round loaf
1 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees.)(Too hot will kill the yeast.)
2 pkgs. Rapid Rise Yeast
4-5 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1-3 tbsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 to 1 teaspoon baking soda
Other seasonings that you like.

Combine the water, yeast, garlic, and 4 cups flour, sugar, and salt in a crock or glass bowl. Mix well, and knead for 8-10 minutes until gluten forms a stringy dough. Lightly grease. Cover lightly with a towel or cheesecloth folded into several thicknesses, and let stand at room temperature till it doubles in size about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Turn the dough out onto a floured board and knead approximately 1 minute until the dough is smooth.

Shape into 2 long loaves or 1 large round loaf, place on a lightly greased baking sheet, cover, and let stand in a warm place for 30 to 1 hour or until almost doubled in size.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brush a little water and egg white on top of the loaves and make a few diagonal slits across the top with a sharp knife.

For a crustier bread, place a shallow pan of water in the bottom of the oven. Bake for approximately 45 to 50 minutes or until the crust is a medium dark brown.
