All of those questions are interpretive. Though there may be some supportive quotes, there is nothing that literal that applied in those times.

You would have better luck asking for modern quotes from current scholars who were inspired by ancient writings.

You might want to try dogma. I am sure there are plenty of people that are so sure that their interpretation is right that they could find the answer in any quote from the bible. In fact I am sure you could find conflicting people using the same quote.

1.Genesis 1:26
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
As caretakers over the earth, we were to take control over all of it...not abuse it.
2Leviticus 19:19
" 'Keep my decrees. " 'Do not mate different kinds of animals. " 'Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. " 'Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.
we were not to try to create new species.
3. 6 If you come across a bird's nest beside the road, either in a tree or on the ground, and the mother is sitting on the young or on the eggs, do not take the mother with the young.Deuteronomy 22:6
They were even concerned about birds!

1. Agreed
2. Agreed
3. Agreed, BUT fodder is not mistreating and neither is warm skins for clothing. OTHERWISE you better read the book "The Secret Life of Plants" and THEN tell me What you're going to eat! Is it WRONG to eat ROAD KILL!

VEGANS to me are almost as bad as Fundies and Muslims and Atheists!

PLANTS also sense and are aware. HENCE VEGANS kill PLANTS for sustiance with NO COMPULSION.

That makes you every bit as bad as a meat eater.

Only with LESS cholestoral.
