When laymen misuse the term to refer to speculation or conjecture, because of their limited vocabulary, it does not diminish the status of a true scientific theory.

You are simply amazing. You speak about thinking rationally, yet you avoid facts and completely distort definitions. SO let's start there.

With that said, Darwin offered nothing more than guesses based on his observations. Plus, being the Christian he was, he was NOT trying to undermine his faith but understand more fully possible links between species. Next, God is the provider of all knowledge so Charles Darwin would have done nothing if it wasn't for God.

Finally, Jesus had could have done anything He wanted. He DID perform many actions that you failed to mention that Darwin never could. Examples of these are walking on water, changing water to wine, and, most importantly, being raised from the dead and ascending into Heaven.,

You'd be living in a dream world if you thought Darwin and modern medical practice would deliver you from decay and physical death. You'd be also over-optimistic if you think modern medecine can cure all ills. There are many illnesses that modern medecine can still only alleviate.

Jesus has proved, for those who believe, and so come into a relationship with God, that there is life after death. He also was anointed to heal the sick, which included all sorts of illnesses, many of them incurable by current medical knowhow. Obviously Jesus didn't come primarily as a doctor of bodies, as salvation of the spirit is topmost need if you think the human has as an eternal destiny and needs forgiveness to make heaven.

You have to use the word supposedly. How can you not? Do you actually know what the Bible says Jesus did is true? Do you have any proof at all? Besides what is written in the Bible? Hell, I read "The Cat in the Hat", can I start a religion based on that book and pray to have these "things" come and clean my house for me?
You have no proof, at all, so Christianity is "just a theory" as well. Get your facts straight before posting stupid answers

Did Darwin bring anyone back from the dead? And Mendel was greater than Darwin because his area of biology was more relevant to treating diseases than evolution by natural selection. Darwin didn't jump start anything besides evolution.
