"do you love me?"
obviously he will say yes
then say "so who cares about a number"
that should be the end of it....show him these posts full of people agreeing with you, he will see that it trully doesnt and he wont be judged in a negative way at all if it trully is love

It WILL matter. Maybe not today but once the hotness burns away and the day to day intervenes, and you have a generation gap and nothing in common to talk about...then it will matter. In 20 years, you will change and grow up- he's already done his changing and growing. Think about it- he's live a lifetime already more than you have : a whole school and college time's worth of experiences.

Love sees no age. My mother and stepdad are like 19 years apart but they are in their older years. 20 and 40 could matter, especially family wise with kids and things. 30 and 50, 40 and 60, 50 and 70.......it all depends on the people who are in love and how comfortable they with the difference.

Its perfectly fine to admire, like and love someone who is senior enough to be your father. But if you are seeking a life partner, be careful, once the infactuation phase passes, your partner and you must be compatible mentally. With an age gap of 20 years, thats unlike to happen. So be careful..
