PF Chang Reply: We use Riceland Medium Grain Brown Rice. It is cooked in a rice cooker. The ratio is 3 parts rice, fluid measure, to 5 parts water.

Brand doesn't really matter, because rice is a natural grain. Brand is only a name on the bag when it comes to whole natural food. Rice comes in different varieties, such as long grain, short grain, parboiled, and instant. Wild rice really isn't rice at all, it's a diferent grain.
I have never heard of P.F. Chang's, so I have no idea what type of rice they use. It's entirely possible that their "brown" rice is actually long grain white rice that's been colored with soy sauce......... you might try asking them next time you go there, and the person who answered "they get all their stuff from Sysco" is actually right, in all probability.

I use Minute Made Brown Rice... All you do is boil the water according to package and when it starts to boil add the rice. Cover and turn off. Let stand for 5 minutes.
