Cockapoos are the oldest of the "designer breeds" been around for 30 plus years. They are high energy dogs! They come in all different sizes and colors. I taught an obedience class with four cockapoos in it...they all looked different! Smart, good with people, good with kids, good with other animals, and happy little pups!

Yes, a cockapoo is the result of breeding a cocker spaniel with a poodle. It's a cute little mutt, but I think people should be giving them away rather than selling them as they aren't purebred. There is a cockapoo rescue group on yahoo groups, if you would like to give a home to a cockapoo in need of one. http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/cockapoorescue/

The parti trend isn't a acknowledged shade/trend in the Poodle. somebody have been given the seem by way of bypass breeding some thing else into the bloodlines. it particularly is in all possibility slender opportunities that it will ever be general. The breed has been around an rather, very long term and there is not any reason in the back of the breed to 'desire' this trend; it serves no objective. do you know that the known Poodle replaced into used as a looking canine/water canine??? They have been no created to be in basic terms a foo-foo canine. The hair cut back you spot on them in the coach ring is an exaggerated version of an rather utilitarian clip for them to do their pastime. in case you're extreme approximately desiring a known Poodle to coach, I advise you get your self a mentor that shows and probably will strengthen the breed to coach you and provide help to acquire your desire to stroll right into a coach ring with a high quality canine with of undertaking at triumphing. do not bypass into exhibiting with the assumption you elect to 'exchange issues', exhibiting, breeding and elevating canines isn't approximately changing the known because it particularly is written inspite of the undeniable fact that it particularly is a pair of affection for the breed and desiring to maintain or advance on the inventory that's offered. shows are actually not elegance contests.

This is a 'mixed breed' no matter what those breeding them for profit will tell you - (some breeders insist they are pure if they have papers, but there are several registries out there that will register any dog for a fee, regardless of breed or mix.) They vary widely in type, personality, coat, and temperament due to this cross-breeding. Many have health issues since those who intentionally cross-breed dogs rarely, if ever, do the health testing on the parents needed to ascertain the best chances of a healthy pup, including X-rays for hip/elbow displaysia, and testing for thyroid, cardiac, and eye abnormalities for their breeding stock.

If you decide you want one, do some looking at shelters and rescues. You should not have to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for a 'mixed breed' dog.

If your looking at getting one - they are NOT a purebreed breed - as alot of people sell them - they are mix of cocker spaniel & poodle.
If you want to get one NEVER get one from pet stores or back yard( home breeders). contact local animal / dog rescue societies , and check out city pounds there are toones of amazing dogs & puppies there- you just may find your coapoo thre or another just as adorable dog ! ( plus the adoption fees are much cheaper than other places)

It is a mix between a cocker-spanial and a poodle.

They are painfully cute.

Ever heard of a schnoodle? A schnauzer and a poodle.

... or how about a labradoodle (A labrador and a poodle)

They are a mix. There is no way of telling exactly what one will be like..it can take after the Cocker side or the Poodle side or both.
