It depends on how old both of you are. What I think you should do, is start doing things for her. Little things, like start carrying her books to class for her, walk her to class, smile at her, if her hair is in her face fix it. This are just a couple of examples. What you should definantly not do is pick on her and shy away.

Don't beat around the bush. Women love confident men. You are going to be a lonely man in your lifetime if you are not brave enough to take a chance. The worst that can happen is that she can say no. And for every woman that says no there are a million more that will say yes.

I don't like guys that after I reject them, they KEEP asking me out. That gets really really annoying.
I think you should try to talk to her a lot more as a friend, and see if she shows any sort of affectionnate gestures. To hint at it, maybe flirt a bit, tickle her, poke her, make fun of her... I think guys who do that are pretty cute and deserve a chance.
No matter what, don't sound desperate. If she says "let's just be friends" don't try to chase after her.

Well, l'd just ask somewhat personal questions like - "how old are you?"
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
"What kinda guy is your type?"
Those kinda things, she'll get the hint, and if she dosent than just tell her, she should respect that. Girls dont like guys who are afraid to say what they are trying to say!

give her a letter, or simply get to know her more.ask her out for coffee, the movies, and maybe even a dinner date.she will start to get the feel that you like her, and maybe even open her feelings for you if she hasn't already.good luck!

ask her for ideas on a date... about this "mystery girl" while the whole time you're talking about her... then of course being a girl she'll ask who this girl is and then you can drop hints like she goes to our school and she as blonde hair )or whatever) trust me... we aren't stupid. works unusually well.
