In my opinion , yes...at your age you still have hair that's in good condition. If you start messing with your hair at this age you will regret it later when you grow up, I first highlighted my hair at 23 and it can be very drying which doesn't look good when you get older. However if you parents think it's okay then no one can stop you, but it's also a big expense...they may not be able to afford it or they will make you pay for it and at 11 I'm sure there will be times when you would rather spend your allowance going shopping or to the movies with your friends...I don't know your situation, but again - in my opinion - I have to agree with the person who said you have time to "worry" about your hair or looks in high school. But don't let friends or society tell you that you need to change anything in order to look good!!

I was 11 when I got my first highlights:) The age is really up to you and your parents/guardian of course. But highlighted hair looks cute on anyone! Just remember that if it grows out and you have very contrasting highlights that you will most likely need to re do the highlights often. (you can also get root touch up kits).

NO, I dont think 11 is to young IF it is a natural product like lemon juice. If you are a blonde (like your avatar) i would suggest doing a product called SunIn. It uses heat from the sun and hairdryers to lighten your hair. Perfect for the summer! I started using SunIn every summer since i was 11 and now i have honey blonde hair with light blonde streaks. It looks natural and it wont damage your hair. If anything it adds nutrients to your hair. Just renember tha ta little goes a long way and dont spray all of it on just dip you fingers in and streak or highliuhgt the desired area or it will look brassy (my friend found out the hard way). I am 13.

I dyed my hair blond when I was in 5th grade so I was 10 years old. I think my first highlights were in 6th grade they were a really awesome purple. I don't think your too young but beware of dying your hair too much it will really make your hair look damaged and unhealthy. If you do decide to dye it again and again make sure to get special conditioners to protect your hair. And of course make sure you have your parent's of guardians permission before all this dying takes place. Wouldn't want to get into any trouble.

good luck - Naomi

You are too young to highlight your hair. You have the rest of your life to ruin your hair with chemicals. Stay natural for now your still a kid you have plenty of time for that.

If you can't love the way you are at 11, how are you going to be confident about your natural looks in years ahead. Don't try to be an artificial freak just like Nicole Smith - by the time you're 40.
