Just the other day, I was following a taxi and the darn driver was going 20-30 over the speed limit. I know because I followed and checked how fast my own vehicle was going. I slowed down and pondered this question.

I slowed down and watched the taxi fade off in the distance. Had a Police Cruiser been in this vicinity, would they have nabbed me or the taxi? My point is: Taxi drivers can drive like maniacs and never get stopped.

Yes, done it several times. Usually, a cab gets pulled over because they are not displaying the proper business and county licenses. But, they are not immune from traffic stops. Speeding, running stop signs and everything else are just as illegal for taxis as for everyone else.

As a Taxi Driver Myself all I can say is that you have a warped sense of reality ! ! !

Taxicab drivers hate Cops and visa versa. Just for the record the police hated the cabdrivers 1st

So if a cop has a choice he's going to write a ticket out to a cab driver BEFORE ANYBODY ELSE on the road

You just haven't LIVED (Long enough yet )
