where would the appropriate place to go be on a first date after getting to know this girl?

After i get to know this girl a little better, where do you think an appropriate place to go would be? I know she likes funny movies, but is that okay for a first date? considering the lack of attention. (Beach and amusement park our of the question) -Dont have either lol. Any ideas besides what i have?

Cinema. Then go for a walk somewhere, and just talk and get to know her more to find out things which would give you clues of where to take her next.
