My roommate doesn't drink everyday, but she does drink 3-4 days out of the week. When she does drink, usually it's only 2-3 drinks (usually beer or wine). Some nights she gets very drunk. Does she have a drinking problem? If so, should I say anything?

Uhh no! She is not an alcoholic and it is none of your business how much she drinks. You will seriously piss her off if you say something.

If her drinking causes a problem for her, then it's a drinking problem. I can't say if 2 to 3 is a lot for her or not, it would depend on her weight and tolerance.

It's also tricky to judge people by X drinks (unless, of course, she drinks a fifth of vodka every night, then it's obvious). You could talk to her if you're concerned. It probably won't achieve anything other than plant the idea in her head that there might be a problem. Time will tell, and it's hard to tell if people grow out of it when they get out of the college situation (if you're in college).

Probably not what I would call an alcoholic. The best way to tell is if someones life gets to where they have responsibilities and they choose to drink as opposed to fulfilling those responsibilities. You know, not changing the baby's diaper because you were busy making a Tom Collins... That kind of stuff.

yes. You should tell her(if you are freinds), that she would not drink in front of you, Or drink on the weekends, if she is a drunk. If its beer, than that is not a real problem, I know someone who drinks eight beers a night and want get drunk.. Just really bad breath.

Its really none of your Business unless you have a personal relationship with this person and if the drinking affects you in an adverse way. Example: If she got drunk and forgot to lock your front door this would be an issue.
