Why do people say this? I am still trying to forget about this guy I really had it bad for and I haven't seen him in almost 4 months! I would really enjoy my life much better if I had never had anything with him and didn't think about him all the time. He didn't dump me or anything, he just disappeared out of my life and I'll never see him again (long story, not enough time). I am constantly daydreaming of his kiss and blue because I'll never experience it again.
So do you agree with the statement "it's better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all," because I don't. I'd rather have him out of my mind.

I agree with the statement, "It's better to have loved and lost, then to have not loved at all." No one ever said, relationships are fun. It's a feeling. Good and bad. If your relationship went sour then it may have been for a one reason or two.
It's an experience. You learn a lot from it and move on to the next as a stronger individual. Those who never experienced that feeling will never know what to do. And it will make their lives much emptier. Love could be the best thing, but it can also be painful. That's why we live and learn. We are not perfect creatures.

I believe all our experiences in life are meant to teach us something. Some lessons in life are painful. If you look back on this experience one day you will see with greater clarity the lesson it provided you with. My guess is when you meet someone new and fall in love again you will know what you are feeling is real and will always have the previous experience as an example to which to have learned from. so ,yes it is better to have love and lost..even though it hurts like hell at the time!

They are some people in this world who have never loved someone, or have someone love them back...When you're with someone there is always a possibility that you may get hurt, you have to accept that move on...Would you rather spend your hold life not being in love, or be in love and take the good with the bad?...It knd of reminds of the movie Enteral Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Yes, I agree with the statement simply because we don't experience the emotion of love if we don't meet someone that stirs your heart. There is nothing like it. You will probably remember him for as long as you live. All you have to do is close the chapter and continue with your "book of life". Godloveya.

I actually don't agree with that saying cause why would someone want to experience the greatest mystery ever only to lose it and experience heartbreak? Then again if it was true love, it may return or does love really ever leave us? To answer your question, no I would rather not know what love is or was.... :)

babe my first extreme relationship i thote he became the a million... i submit with a lot i saved goin bak to him even with the reality that he became ideal ingredient on account that bread... i then began college were given a sparkling existence in school i then discovered out he cheated on me! i never spoke to him again... i met my modern boyfriend 4 month later I were with him for 2 years... the sentiments i felt for him made me imagine wow i dont even imagine i loved my ex i never felt the way i did.. when we've chop up up interior the previous I were depressed tuk sleepin pills to attempt get the wear and tear and tear to resign we were given bak mutually moved in yet now i'm no longer "inlove" any extra i imagine u only fall out and in of love!! iv fell out of love now and going to be happliy unmarried untill i believe that feeling agen :) u may no longer manage to fall out of love yet so u will sense like ur international gunna end xxxx

Baloney. To have loved and lost means that you know what heaven tastes like but you have no guarantees - you may never taste that again, which is a sort of hell in itself.
