I have a prospective employer from Pennsylvania and is willing to sponsor me. We don't know the first step for this so she asked me if it's to possible to come as visitor while waiting for the h2b visa? What are the costs now to complete the process (either of two or both)? When can i come to the US? Can i come for a visit and then go back home until the process is finished?
Any ideas, opinions are highly appreciated and thank you very much!

It is difficult in general for people from the Philippines to get tourist visas to the US because so many overstay their visas. You will have to be able to prove that you are going back to the Philippines, such as by showing a large bank account there and/or ownership of property or a business. Also, if you come to the US on a visitor visa, it is against the law for you to work. And if you come for any purpose other than just to visit, then that would be visa fraud.

If she doesn't know the first step then the odds of her sponsoring you for a job are zero. It's an expensive and complicated process for the employer to certify that no American is available to take the job. The employer needs to hire the services of an experienced expert.

PS. If it's a nanny job you should forget about it. No visas are being issued at all for this type of thing.

you may notice for a US customer VISA any time below any circumstances yet specifically situations won't be sensible, and that i'm not attempting to be sarcastic yet strengthen the inconsistence between a-) desire to easily bypass to, and b-) plan to stay. in the widely used visa application there's a question that asserts: have you ever utilized for a US residency of do you have any immigration status request in technique? in case you're saying particular, they're going to ask you to renounce to the previous technique request first (in written), with the intention to settle to your visa application. in case you answer is not any it would be a lie and the 1st step in a foul checklist for further immigration desires. that happens to a chum approximately 10 years in the past; i'm not asserting continues to be an identical factor yet you greater effectual be careful. My propose could be to ask or hire an immigration lawyer suggestion. good success.
