well three years in general isn't that big of a deal. but because of your maturity level that's what matters. at the end of this year he's going to be going of and starting a new life... (hopefully...) but I think that right now in this time in your life it is so vital that you shouldn't be distracted with guys... something that you might want to think about is he's a legal adult... he can do whatever he wants and it could deeply affect you. Just don't let him take advantage of you anf don't het your hopes up because guys like that have some kicks messing with people's hearts. good luck,

In high school, people seem to make a bigger deal about how old you have to be to go out with others. They make it seem like you can't really date people more than a year older than you. When i was a freshman, my friend was dating a senior. For us freshman it seemed cool to have an older boyfriend. For him on the other hand, his friends thought it was awkward to hang around their friend and much-younger girlfriend, which resulted in him breaking up with her because he couldn't take the pressure from his friends. What I'm saying is, in your situation, you would have an easier chance of getting hurt. He's an adult, and the maturity levels, as someone else before me mentioned, are much different. Also remember that since he's a senior, you probably wont see him much after this year because he might go off to college. In my opinion, wait until you're an adult to find an older guy. It wont be a big deal then.

In high school I dated an 18 year old when I was 15 and there were no problems with it. As long as you don't regret anything you do with him and as long as your parents know it's fine. I know 14 year olds that date 19 year olds. Alot of it can depend on the guy and on how mature you both are. Just be careful and if he is a good guy your parents may not have a problem with it.

I don't think he is too old for you if you truely like him. But if you are afraid that people might start talking, you shouldnt listen I mean people talk, and no one can do anything about it. Your true friends wont talk behind your back, so that wont matter. What people you don't know say about you shouldnt matter!

Also, about the age thing.... I just want you to know that it is illegal for the two of you to have sex, so if you ever think about that, think of the consequences,,, he can go to jail.

He's only two grades higher than you, I'd say if your parents are okay with you dating then its alright....but DO NOT go for a guy any older than him, that'd be disgusting
