You can die in childbirth no matter what kind of diet you are on. Anemia may make it riskier.

It's good you are taking iron. You should also be supplementing with B-12 and folic acid. Talk to your OB or a dietician about your diet before starting your family.

Sorry, but if you became anemic 7 years ago, if your body had no problems it would have replaced your hgb by now. So, there must be a different reason for your anemia. I'm sure the healthy thing to do is consult with a doc as to why you are NOW anemic, not from 7 years ago. And part of being pregnant, is what will 'grow a healthy baby' Anemia can be dangerous for the fetus too. So, try to discover the reason before childbearing. Vegetarian may add to the problem, but being a healthy vegetarian should not make you anemic. And people can die from anything....but millions, billions of woman have had babies when they're anemic, and don't die. So, go with the odds. But do consult with your doc.

Peanuts are a good source of protien. which you need. I am not a doctor. You should confide in your obgyn. But in my opinion no you shouldn't die from creating a life just cause your a vegi. and anemic. But it can cause some complications to your health and the health of your child. is there a chance you could die yes a small one, but everybody does. Just take serious care of your self and do everything right extra enriched foods for starters and frequent care from your physician. Don't worry yourself sick over it just take the steps to make sure you and the baby will be very healthy.

For some women anemia creates a huge undertaking and does not for others. i replaced into anemic for years previously my first being pregnant and persevered to be for the time of, and did not have any issues for the time of latest child beginning different than the certainty that I unquestionably have a foul coronary heart. I used to take pills and ate meat and stuff attempting to safeguard my anemia and it does not bypass away. It finally did like a year and a 0.5 once I had my son. he's approximately to coach 3 and that i haven't had any further issues.

Well, anyone can potentially die from child bearing. Hopefully, your doctor would monitor and treat your anemia, but the thing you need to be concerned with...besides your own health...is providing enough protein, calcium and other nutrients necessary for a healthy developing fetus. Before you even consider getting pregnant, see a nutritionist who can get you on a healthy vegetarian diet for conception and pregnancy. DON'T try to do it on your own!

Frankly, I would encourage you to get evaluated anyway by a nutritionist, to make sure your diet isn't contributing to your poor health.

No, child bears almost never kill humans. It's the mothers you have to worry about; never come beween a mother bear and her child (cub)---the bad news is you'll be very sorry, the god news is you won't be very sorry for long
