Age can be a problem if she only has a preference for older guys and is narrow minded in that respect. The only way you can really know if the two of you can have a serious relationship is if you talk to her about it. One hand can't clap you know. But with this best friend thing.. I don't know how long you've known each other or anything, but I tend to call guys my best friend when I really want to lay it on heavy to them that we will never become more than friends. I can't say this is the same for her though. So just talk to her about it and good luck.

I don't think age is the problem...Nor am I saying you are screwed up, but is she is stable and you are not, then it will not work. How do I know? Well...I am going through the same with a girl who is four years my senior. We both have our careers in the right direction and we have things in common. However, I know deep down inside that I cannot be the man she wants. Financially she is on track. While, I am learning the ropes of the industry I selected.
She is used to dating guys with money and in perfect positions as far as careers. Let it be, man.

Well love doesn't know age, creed or heritage. The problem is when you start thinking just because one is older than the other you will have problems. But just don't worry and enjoy the life you have with your friend and if it goes further good, if not well at least your friends.

Age is just a number, and in this case you are only 3 years apart. You can't change the way she feels about you or the way you feel about her, but be patient, maybe one day you guys will be together. Good luck.

Age is no big deal at your point.
Turn yourself into the best YOU that you can be.
See what happens. Good luck!

3 yrs is nothing. Instead of worrying, why don't you actually do something about it, ask her out, if she say "no", then remain her best friend.
