My parents (Especially my mom) keep lying to me about stupid stuff. Just this morning I ask my mom If I can borrow the car, she said no, I have to pick your sister from work at 5, I replied its sunday she doesnt work today, so she says, Oh, umm well I got to go to the stores. Yesturday night I asked her if I can barrow 20 dollars till later on in the evening, she said she doesnt have any money, but yet leaves and comes back with clothes she bought from the store and DVDs!!!! When she goes out for "business trips" she comes back with a tan and suvernier and clothes. I feel like she is always liying to me, How can I trust her when I tell her why do U lie about small stupid stuff to me, and she replies and gets mad "I Dont Lie To You!!!" when that in fact is a lie!!!!

Your mother, from what you have said has a problem trusting your trust. That might sound weird but i will explain. She lies because there is a bigger problem behind it. You will have to find that out. Instead of telling you the truth which mother the most have problems with because they feel like its better to just not get envolved. You need to sit her down and talk,. Make sure that when you talk to her. do not say anything about lying you have to use neutral words and show her that it hurt you when she doesnt do what she says. Its a difficult situation and talking without accusing is the only way. If you need more assistance let me know !!

Maybe she feels as if she has the authority to lie to you because she is your mother or she thinks you're stupid or something. Who knows? I can relate because one of my relatives treats me the exact same way. Don't believe everything she says if she doesn't treat you like a person.

she sounds like a pathological liar and needs some help, if she is then you must not hate her because of that,just be understanding of her illness....if shes just a liar just because, then dont even ask her for anything, why would you shes just going to think of herself and whats good for her again,following it with a lie, so your either going to have to deal with it or get her help

this is a tough one parents are entitled to lie to you and get away with it because they are your parents. just get your own job and car and then you won't have to ask her for anything
