you can definitely get tattooed over stretch marks just be aware that it won't hide the stretch marks. you will likely still be able to see them they will just be tattooed. it depends on the kind of stretch marks you have and how severe they are as to how well they will tattoo and how it will look. if you have white stretch marks they will be more easily hidden. if they are red or brown it will be harder. good luck!

Sometimes stretch marks improve with a little time. I guess it depends on your skin and where you want the tattoo. You might try some scar cream or stretch mark creme for 6 months or so and see if there is any improvement. If it is place where no one but you and your significant other see it then go ahead. You might ask the tattoo artist's opinion as well.

You can get a quality tattoo over stretch marks depending on how differently textured, and loose these scars are. Most stretch marks are thinner, and less elastic than the surrounding skin, which causes the artist lots of headaches, because in the middle of a line, the skin changes and the machine has a tendency to drag or pull the looser skin. This will cause a blotchy outline.

Some people do have stretch marks that seem to be just a slightly lighter color than the surrounding skin, with little change in texture at all. So, if your stretch marks are concave, and loose, this can pose a big obstacle. If they are convex, and thicker, more like scar tissue, this will cause less of a problem..

Its better to tattoo over stretch marks, than have a tattoo and get stretch marks!

The tattoo may not be as "smooth" as it would be on "normal" skin, but it can be done! As said already in this thread, the deeper colored stretch marks will show through most tattoos.

Good luck!

Your belly has one more layer of cellulite which allows us females to stretch in the course of being pregnant... Effectively all a stretch mark is is a tear within the cellulite layer. Whilst looking to tattoo over contemporary stretch marks all for you to occur is the ink will drop down into the hole created by means of the tear within the cellulite layer and run the complete period of it. Older stretch marks are one of a kind..... they are going to have full of scar tissue and/or fats, getting rid of this drawback. Tattooing over scars, as beforehand responded to in yet another announcement, is a entire one of a kind kettle of fish.

Why do you want to get a tattoo? The fad seems to be fading, leaving you to explain something to someone a few years from now.
