I live in the basement 1/2 and the new neighbors will be moving upstairs. The last neighbors moved out because of the place. They could hear my alarm clock, I could hear what tv station they were listening too. My cold basment needs heat and sweats them out. My enterance doors echo in their place. And I am having a baby in a few months and my baby will most likely wake them up everynight as you can hear everything that happens... Should I tell the neighbors to aviod complaints against me? Because if they complian, then I have to complain to protect myself.. and I am in the same stressful situation as I was with the last neighbors....

I would let them know that the place is not sound-proof and that you are having a baby soon so they are prepared. Also tell them that the TV from the previous tenants could be heard. When closing your door, don't let it slam. Close it gently. Respect has to be both ways when living in such conditions.
