When my current boyfriend had asked me out, he had just come out of two relationships consecutively and had admitted to liking me and one of my best friends at the same time. Two days later he decided that he would like to date me more and asked me out.(We made it clear that if he chose one of us and it didn't work out, he could not instantly go for the other.)He's told me numerous times that he liked me since the day he first saw me but he didn't think he stood a chance.
However this has always put me in an awkward position. Time and time again I always end up asking if he loves me, if he really means it, and how long he wants this to be. He always says yes to the first two and says he would love to spend the rest of his life with me and it's genuine. A couple weeks later, I begin asking again. He's patient and seems to understand my trust issues arise from 3 failed relationships--due to cheating and lying--as well as an abuse-filled childhood.
How do I stop doubting? (Us: 4 months)

It's not that I'm expecting him to cheat on me. I just wonder if he actually loves me. He gives me things, is affectionate, and compliments me more times than I could count. He is the most attentive boyfriend I have ever had and I know he could quite possibly be the one. (Neither one of us has a cheating record)
