I have been on adderall (ADD med) for 4 years. I keep seeing claims that there have been no studies on long term effects --- I want to figure out if this is true. If it is, I won't be feeling too well about being a guinea pig.

Anyone know RELIABLE info for this?

Here is what I've heard... My mom worked on a air force base for years and she heard the air force wont take persons that have been on those type of drugs. That may have changed since the war ( they're desperate for recruits now). Does that tell you something about those type of drugs? Hmmm... Hey, here's another one... I used to know this women who loved to take her son's ritalin pills cuz it curbed her appetite. Sounds like it had the effects of speed... bad your for heart possibly, too? Hey, just cuz the doc thinks ya need it for hyperactivity and to help you learn don't meen it's really safe babe.

Doc wanted my son to try those ADD drugs once, too. I told them to shove it. If he flunks, well he'll just repeat the dam grade till he's forty. I've worked as a teacher assistant for years and I've seen a lota kids on those kind of drugs- I hate it. 50 years ago no one took that crap and we all turned out okay. My two nephews quit taking that it in their teen years and they have never felt better. Sorry- I'm so against them!
