okay so i've been wearing the clear essix reatiners fo about 3 days now and I'm going to a Disneyland with school to perform (orchestra) for the heritage festival on April 13-16..so that's about 3 days and 2 nights or so cuz we arrive back home on the 16th....okay so the trip is in 19 more days (today is march 25, 2007) and so here's the question:

If I don't wear my retainer for those 3 days or so with my teeth shift significantly?????? I'll be wearing the retainer for 2.5 weeks or so before the day of the trip and should I wear it all the time during the trip?? We're going to go out alot and eat at random times and do alot of things.....so should I also just wear the reatainer at night during the trip??????

And yes I know..if I don't want to have braces again then I have to wear the retainer 24/7...but I want to have a great time without by retainer getting in the way by being a hassle while everyone is out...sigh....so plz answer all the questions above plz...thanks...

So if this is too confusing here's the main questions:

Will my teeth shift significantly in those 3 or so days that I won't be able to wear my retainer again???? Should I wear the retainer only at night during the trip then so my teeeth won't move significanlty if the answer for the above question is yes...???? And with the time that I've been wearing the reatianer until the day of the trip can I miss 3 days of not weaing it (I'll will be wearing the clear essix retainers for 2.5 weeks till the day of the trip)????..plz answer thanks!!!1

my advice would be to wear the retainer 24/7 like u should....im sure ur classmates have all been through the trials and tribulations of wearing one....i wore mine on a class trip and it wasnt so bad.....but if there is no way that u can bare the thought of wearing it for hte whole trip then at least wear it at night.......just know that ur efforts will pay off and u will be blessed with perfectly straight teeth when all is said and done!!! good luck and live it up on the trip!

once I have been given my braces off, the way the did it became they took multiple the decrease back brackets off and then did retainer impressions and that i got here decrease back a week later, have been given all of them off and have been given my retainers. the rationalization they did this became by way of fact your tooth won't have the capacity to bypass an entire week devoid of being held in place (now that they have got had a persevering with rigidity on them for no less than a three hundred and sixty 5 days), so no, i do no longer think of that is secure.

ask your parents what you should do. But, my kids did the best they could without loosing the retainer, and that was wearing at night as you stated. It was better than nothing, and they didin't loose them!
