As a parent, i suggest running this "like" by your parents. If they know how mature you are then you may not have problems. Most people at your age are usually not "mature" enoguh to handle that kind of split. Usually when you're older you can. My Mom and Dad are three years apart but met in her last year of high school and have been married 50 plus years now.

Although 3 years doesn't seem like a big age difference, there is a big difference between 13 and 16. You need to stick to boys your age. After you turn 18 you can do whatever you want, but not yet.

Flirt a bit, surely something will happen. Thats what I always did at ur age. and most of the time I ended up dating the guy. so just flirt, joke around and you will get closer and start to like each other more to the point that someone will pop the question.
