I'm crushing on this really popular guy, I have caught him checking me out a couple times, plus he butted my in line at the cafeteria and made my friend and I move from our spot because he wanted to be there, but other than that, he isn't giving me the time of day. He's pretty much the hottest guy you can imagine, but I need to get over him, seriously, it's affecting my life. I literally obsess over him, I'll write his name over and over. Ehenever I see him talking to a girl, I get green with envy. How can I effectively get ovet this cruch and carry on with my life?

My god...he sounds like a jerk...I don't understand why you aren't over him already...ok...I 'll give you some advice.
Realize that this is a risky situation- it could destroy your reputation or even worsen the reputation of females in general.
Channel your interest into something else- after all there are lots of other guys out there-maybe you can't find any at the minute but that doesn't mean you've got to flirt with someone who is a jerk.
Every time you feel like you want to flirt with the guy in question-repeat to yourself- "I am better than this and I know it!"
Go get your hair done and treat yourself to an outfit- a happy girl is a confident girl and therefore is more likely to succeed.
Tips
Try not to think about the guy every time you see something that reminds you of him- if this happens immediately think of a famous guy you think is fit and remember to set your standards high!
Most important thing is stop getting attracted to guys you can't have.
Think of YOUR perfect guy (green eyes, taller, more built, smarter, etc.) and compare him to the guy you're trying to get over. Make out every possible difference and ask yourself "Are you willing to settle for this guy when you can be looking for someone who is closer to your ideal guy?"

Never under any circumstances go anywhere with him on your own otherwise there's a good chance you'll do something stupid!
Never ever make advances towards him...even if it turns out that he could like you too- you don't wanna be made out to be the *****!

First you must realize that there is nothing to get over. You have never had a relationship with him. You find him extremely attractive (hot). But attraction one can feel easily and also get over just as fast. The things that you like about him be it personality or looks look for them in other guys. Preferably one you notice also liking you as in checking you out.

I'm going through the same thing, but I realized that I like this other guy, too, so it got easier. You need to find someone else to share the crush you have on this guy with!

I think you'd be better off changing your routine, and hanging with others who share your interests. It's relatively easy, and worth the trouble in the long run. You might even meet someone else who isn't as much of an @$$ as this guy sounds like.

The fastest way to get over a crush is to find another one --- it's as simple as that! The other way is by "negative reinforcements" --- it's not hard to do....just keep telling yourself that this guy is ugly, ugly, ugly and that he is not "crushable" after all. Can you do that? Good girl!
