Okay, I like to fry some bacon to get the fat before cooking the liver. Once the bacon is done then I flour the liver and have the pan nice and hot I put the liver in it and cook the liver on each side about 3 minutes. The blood should come to the top and then turn. Only flip once or twice if the blood comes to the surface on the second side. If you are doing onions I would do them before the liver but not while you are cooking the liver. This would cool the fat too much. The whole cooking time for the liver should not be more than 6-8 minutes. Then after cooking the liver I like to make liver gravy by putting some of the flour in the fat that is left and frying it like a roux for just a bit and then adding some milk and stir until nice and thick like gravy. I like to have stewed tomatoes with this.
Key things: grease hot and do not crowd pan. Cook only until liver is done 6-8 minutes

I had this for dinner in a Chinese restaurant once and always cook it this way. Stay really moist and tastes great.
Breaded Liver
bread or cracker crumbs
1 egg, beaten
flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
Dip the liver in the flour then egg and finally the crumbs. Fry some bacon in frying pan along with the onions. Cool and crumble the bacon. Fry the liver (add some marg or butter if not enough bacon fat)on medium heat until browned, then flip to other side and cook until brown. I like to serve my liver with some beef gravy, oh so good

1) get approximately 1lb of Ox or calves liver and gently fry for 2 mins to seal the flavour.
2) coarsely chop 1 large onion or 2 medium onions and gently fry for 2 or 3 mins or until onions are soft.
3) place onions and liver in a large casserole dish and cover with gravy.
Put lid on dish and cook in the oven on a low heat for 1 - 1.5 hours.
Delicious!!!!!

liver and onion, one of my favorites. if u buy it frozen from the store , try taking the slices apart before ti is completly defrosted, so they don't tear apart completly. put flour in a bowl, turn liver few times in it
cut up the onions, before u start liver or u will fall behind.lol...... put butter in pan, add liver, frequently turn, after flipping liver 1st time att the onion to the pan, make sure u add enough butter for ti not to dry out in the pan. liver gets done fairly quick, 10 min at most. take ti out, let onions fry in the butter a bit longer then scoop them over the liver. also u can try and add a little bit of onion and bacon to flavor the freen beans a bit.....yummy.....lol now ya gave me munchies......gl, hope hubby enjoys

liver cooks quite quickly
add some ketchup when you're cooking it in a frying pan
this adds some moisture
and when it mixes with the juices of the liver it's quite yummy
depending upon the size of the portion
don't cook for longer then 10 minutes
enjoy!
