I try to but I am not perfect yet. If I have a problem with anyone I go to the Lord in prayer and ask the Lord to help me to forgive that person. The person who said that in Luke 14:26 that we must hate our father, mother, wife, children, brothers and sisters need to read the whole chapter. Jesus is trying to tell us that we need to put Him above these things. The people Jesus was talking to were making up excuses not to follow him. Jesus didn't mean that we need to literally hate our family. He was just making a point that we need to love Him first and put him first in our lives.

I try very hard, although some are harder to love than others.
Sometimes I have a personality clash with an acquaintance
but still find that I can find love for that person. My big trial comes with trying to find love/feeling for the person who molests and kills an innocent child, or for Hitler, or Jeffery Dahmer, etc.

For Christ's sake wake up, smell law & odor.
It's law, is sin and death: smell of a dead end.
Christ, of Jesus->Christ, is the end of the law.
He is our "peace" who hath abolished the law.
Jesus is about "division", not peace: Mt 10:34.
Mark & Avoid them who cause division: Rom 16.

More ppl get in troubled water via this 2nd law.
JC noted 'the 2nd is like unto the 1st': Dead-ly!
And Paul noted it made him "wretched"; Rom 7.
Check out how PTSD soldiers feel: "wretched".
Check out how exposed priests feel: wretched!

there isn't any proof that jesus even existed, let alone, that he commanded anything.

but if he did...

wouldn't it be an interesting day when all xians actually followed his word? wow...

but that'll never happen. they'll just demand that everyone else behave that way...

Actually, in Luke 14:26, Christ states that you must hate your family (mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, children) and yourself in order to become his disciple.
