Ummm...Catholics are Christians. Therefore, if you feel that church feels right to you, you would remain a Christian and your denomination of Christianity would be Catholic.

Wow! Fundamentalist Protestants are so eager to prove the correctness of their position that they are willing to sacrifice their parents in the forms of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches to do it. Not only that but they are willing to commit two of the deadly sins Pride and Wrath in the process.
Amazing
Simply put without the Catholic Church Christianity wouldn't exist.

Catholicism IS Christianity
The Saints and Mass and Eucharist and everything the Catholic Church does CAN BE found within the Sacred Scriptures of the Holy Bible. You just have to actually read and study it to see, not like the majority of Protestants who are grazing sheep being spoon fed their religion rather than seeking wisdom and understanding from the Holy Spirit and doing some of their own in-depth scripture study.
You have started in the right direction...keep seeking...and don't let anyone derail your journey home. God Bless.
And... Jonathan is right....I have read most of Dr. Hahn's books and he would be an excellent place to get a full and clear idea of what Catholicism really is.

I also am in t he 'search' for a church home. Being new in Christ, I am following the good advice many on this forum provided, I am looking into a lot of churches, denominations are a very very small concern. I have met with three different Roman Catholic Priests, and done some study of their Catechism, that they reluctantly provided. Personally I find a great deal of the basic doctrines to me manufactured by humans, and not based on the Bible. Just my experience, I wish you well and pray that you find the peace He grants to all who seek Him

I would not convert to the catholic religion. Somethings catholics do is against the bible. They go the the priest to ask for forgiveness. Only God can forgive your sins. Saying 10 Hail marys to forgive sins is pointless. Catholic say a hail mary pray. Why pray to Mary? She was human just like you and me. She can not hear your prayers. Alot of Catholic praise, and worship mary, more then Jesus. That is a false idol. You have to be very careful with this. I do not agree with the practices of the catholic church. Stay where you are at.

My brother, EVERYTHING the Catholic Church teaches is in the Bible! Read anything by Scott Hahn!!!! He was a former Presbetyrian minister that finally 'got' the Bible so he converted to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic faith.

Perhaps this passage will help. I think some spend way to much time finding fault with others who may not worship exactly like them. But this is what Christ says.
Mk 9:38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”
Mk 9:39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,
Mk 9:40 for whoever is not against us is for us.
Mk 9:41 I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.
I believe you should worship where you feel the Spirit is leading you.

If you found a church that felt right, that's all that matters. Who cares what others think?
