I don't want to be tethered down by someone else's beliefs that are outlined in a book (Made by a MAN I might add {So maybe I do have a *little* complex about men being stupid...}). I'd much rather run around without looking for proof of some 'man in the sky' as I call him. I hate authority, so I don't believe in god. I don't need another person to tell me what to do.

So, I would say that god was made by man.

Unknown and curiosity of being for me, though I honestly don't believe I am guilty of anthropomorphization. I'd agree, however, that most of the 'thumpers' have the fear thing going - they seem to want to prohibit discovery, stonewalling with, "G-d did it." Well, of course G-d did it, but that doesn't mean we can't learn about it or even master the idea. Nor once we have mastered what was once unknown and magical does it mean that G-d didn't do it or isn't still doing it.
This is turning into something of a rant here, but I truly fail to understand why most people insist on imposing false dichotomies on these topics - religiosity vs. secularism, creation vs. evolution, faith vs. fact, and the like. Everyone relax. There will always be room and need for both perspectives - each has its use and purpose.

You're mean! :)

English is not my native language, I've been searching for a translation of the word "anthropomorphization" for 5 minutes now!

So, I'm gonna guess the answer: Yes, God is just an anthropomorphization of mans fear of the unknown. Goddidit means exactly the same as "I don't know". Only the latter leaves room for trying to answer the questions with a real answer in the future.

Human thought is very interesting, when it is unable to explain situation by rational and logical explanations, it will resort to an irrational conclusion. With the present scientific understanding of the universe, we can't prove the existence of God but can understand many of the former mysteries known as miracles for example child birth. So the key to understanding God is through Knowledge and maybe one day, we will know for sure that God exist.

I think it's a little more complex. I do believe there is a force out there, but that's not enough so people do generate these illustrations of a God to fit that.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that until you start worshiping your illustration instead of the real beauty- nature, the universe, etc.

No - perhaps you misunderstand what "anthropomorphization" means. It means to view things in human form. So you are asking if God is in the human form of fear. Most people believe God is love.
I think that the unknown of who/what God is perhaps leads to anthropomorphization. We don't know what God looks like or acts like therefor we substitute what we know for what he really is.

Yes. I wrote once that Religion is man's way of feeling in control and, at the same time, not responsible. If you live a certain way, you go to Heaven. So you're in control. But if bad thigns happen or you make a mistake it was God testing you or Satan deceiving you. So you're not responsible.

It's humans' desire for the universe to be human.

Similar to pigs' desire for the universe to be pig-like. I asked a pig about that once.
