The "P, Tv, Av and M" are mettering choices. if you don't know or care about shutter speeds or apritures just use P (program mode, it will choose the best combination for you) the flower is used when you want to take a picture of close up things, like flowers. the "iso" is what you can use to change the sensitivity or you "film," even if it is a digital camera, it still has film sensitivity, the larger the number the more sensitive it is. use a high number at night or in poorly lit areas, a middle number inside and a low number outside in the sun. or if you have it put in on auto and the camera will do it all for you. Your manual might help you with the other things, but i don't know what they are.

If you're too unmotivated or lazy to read the manual for yourself, just use P. And L.
