If single man, without any kids of his own, gets a vasectomy by his personal choice. How would God view his decision, if he later wanted to get married?

It a personal belief of mine that there many too kids already in the world today not being cared for, abused or not wanted. I do not think the world with six billion people will miss if more one child is not born.

The decision to bring (or not to bring) children into the world is certainly a personal choice. It's one that I would hope you'd ask God for guidance on before hand. But I certainly wouldn't consider having a vasectomy a sin, even if you were single. Like someone else pointed out, it's your personal motivations that could lead to sin. (i.e. having a Vasectomy as a means of birth control for pre-marital sex.)

Here's at interesting twist on reality for you. I had the procedure done about 8 or 9 years ago. Two years after the procedure, my wife was pregnant. I went back to the urologist and sure enough it had reversed itself. It can just go to show you, you may have your own plans, but God is still on the throne! (I went and had a second one done after that.)

Am I a sinner? Well, not because of that. But I am saved by grace.

God Bless.

I got mine at 21, with no kids. That was 20 years ago. I have not regretted it, in the slightest.

However I am a Buddhist, so I don’t have to worry about it.

You are in luck, because I probably know the Christian “rule book” better than most Christians. The scripture often cited is in Deuteronomy. It basically says if you are castrated, or had your penis removed, then you are not acceptable to God. A vasectomy does not castrate, or remove your penis.

The other scripture is in Genesis where God tells Adam and Eve to multiply. Remember that the book was written in a different time. The world was not so over-populated then.

There are some other places that mention “fill your life with sons”, or “Behold the joy of childbirth” etc. There are no specific rules that say, “Thou shalt have children”.

Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years:
1. Single people should be celibate.
2. Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).
3. Married couples should welcome God's gift of children and, therefore, artificial birth control is against the will of God.

A vasectomy is a form of artificial birth control.

Why would a celibate man need a vasectomy? The main reason would be to make it more convenient for him to commit another sin, fornication.

With love in Christ.

SIN!!! You are essentially doing what Adam did. He chose to take destiny into his own hands and cut God's will out of the equation. How do you know you will not be used by God as an instrument of procreation someday? You are saying to God that you are not open to this option.

It's not about sin anymore, it's about facts and human beings. If vasectomy is not allowed, then this world would be overpopulated

Intercourse is reserved as a consummation of love between one man and one woman in the bonds of matrimony. That being said, procreation is always a potential outcome of this act. " Sex " is not just for physical gratification. The act of the Will to try to permanently close the door to this option of procreation for personal selfish reasons or for purely hedonistic reasons is trying to control God and his Will. Sinful and in fact it is a Mortal sin which destroys the life of grace in your soul.
