Yes, called Sultanas There are many raisins on the market ...we got some when I was a child from a health food source that were quite large and superfab, called Monukka Raisins... and I believe that the largish green grapes called Muscat grapes which are delicious if perfumy also are used for raisins, as well as for Muscatel wine And Thompson's Seedless implies that at one time raisins had seeds (stones, they call them in places even today .... and instead of raisins are called plums ...) xxx

Yeah, green grapes make golden raisins. Sun Maid actully makes mixed packs. I've never seen the commercial but that could be why. I agree with the person up there (^)...Could have been visual appeal.

Sun Maid is fraudulent. Green grapes DO make golden raisins. If you decide to buy a box of "golden raisins" from Sun Maid, they show green raisins on the box- but the raisins inside are black.

I would say yes, the green. But the Green may have been used in the commercials to be more "appealing" to they eye.
